A welcome message from Professor James Lyng
On behalf of the organising committee, I am delighted to welcome you to the 3rd School on Pulsed Electrical Field (PEF) Processing of Food will take place in the Institute of Food and Health, University College Dublin Dublin from Monday 21st to Thursday 24th of March 2016. The School will be co-organised by University College Dublin (UCD) and COST Action TD1104 -EP4Bio2Med.
The objective of the School is to offer to students, academic and industrial researchers the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the fundamentals of PEF and electroporation for food processing, through lectures by the leading PEF and electroporation experts and practical, hand-on experience, with special focus on the implementation of the PEF treatments for pasteurising liquid foods and enhancing mass transfer in solid foods.
I hope your time spent at the School is a fruitful one and that you enjoy the facilities at the UCD O’Brien centre and UCD campus as a whole.
